Four drug peddlers arrested under NDPS Act

NAKODAR The Mehat Pur police have arrested two drug peddlers on the charge of selling heroin and intoxicant tablets and injections.

The Station House Officer (SHO) Mohindar Pal said that 6 grams of heroin, and 270 intoxicant tablets.13 intoxicant injections and Rs 12 500 drug money were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Jagdish Singh alias Deesha son of Chan Singh a resident of Dharme Dain Chhana village and his brother Des Raj Alias Desa.

SHO said that the accused were running a mechanic shop and selling drugs adding a case under sections 21-B/22/61/85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused.

The Nakodar sadar police have arrested a drug peddler on the charge of selling intoxicant tablets. The Investigating Officer (IO) Sukhwindar Pal Singh said that 8 grams of heroin were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Vikramjit Singh alias Viki son of Sohan Singh a resident of Talwandi Mehma village under Kapurthala sadar police station.

IO said that a case under sections21-B//61/85 of the NDPS Act and 379 (theft) and 411(dishonestly receiving stolen property has been registered against the accused and a stolen motorcycle on which he was traveling has been impounded.

The Shahkot police arrested drug peddler Sukhjindar Singh son of Morra Singh a resident of Salaichan village with 5 grams of heroin and 105 intoxicant tablets, said IO Nirmal Singh.
