Maha Kumbh Mela 2025: Yogi Adityanath convened a special Cabinet meeting in Prayagraj following which they boarded a boat to take part in the holy dip at the Triveni Sangam.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath accompanied by Deputy chief ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya, Brajesh Pathak, and other cabinet ministers took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam during the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj.
The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister convened a special Cabinet meeting in Prayagraj following which they boarded a boat to take part in the holy dip at the Triveni Sangam. The Chief Minister took to social media platform X to share a video of the ritual.
After the meeting, Yogi Adityanath said, “We will develop a region to support sustainable development in Prayagraj and its surrounding areas. An extension of the Ganga Expressway will be carried out, connecting Prayagraj to Mirzapur, Bhadohi, Kashi, Chandauli, and ultimately linking to the Purvanchal Expressway in Ghazipur.”
Earlier, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also visited Prayagraj to participate in the Maha Kumbh Mela. The Union Minister also performed religious rituals at Akshaya Vat, Patalpuri Temple, Saraswati Kund and Hanuman Temple.
This year’s Maha Kumbh commenced on January 13. The event will continue until February 26, 2025.
