The Assam government will go to Supreme Court soon, chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said amid border dispute with Mizoram. Speaking about Mizoram Police registering an FIR against him, the Assam chief minister said if filing an FIR resolves the issue, he will appear before the police station. “I’m happy if filing an FIR against me resolves the issue, I’ll go and appear before any police station. But I will not allow our officers to be investigated,” Sarma told reporters.
