“Not an inch of Assam land was encroached by Mizoram. People sacrificed their lives but protected the state boundary,” CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said. Assam will deploy three commando battalions in Cachar, Karimganj, Hailakandi districts bordering Mizoram, he added.
